Institutional Banking and Markets (IB&M) is responsible for managing the Group’s relationships with major corporate and government clients and institutional investors, and provides a full range of capital raising, transactional and risk management products and services. The Institutional Client Coverage team within CBA’s Institutional Banking & Markets (IB&M) business, proactively develops client relationships and originates new business opportunities across both traditional and non-traditional banking services through the provisioning of advice, structuring and execution of product solutions tailored to the needs of our client groups. The Portfolio Management Office function within Institutional Client Coverage supports and partners with stakeholders to effectively manage client portfolios across a wide range of portfolios incl. Non-Bank Financial Institutions, Banks and Government clients, ensuring compliance and effective credit and operational risk management.

**Your Impact and Contribution**

As an Associate, you’ll be working in a high performing team - primarily supporting the Director and focussing on the portfolio management activities for Institutional Coverage clients with a focus on streamlining and simplifying processes.

Your responsibilities will be wide ranging and include;
- Providing support to Bankers in servicing the needs of our clients
- Support the execution of good data practices to ensure data integrity throughout the product lifecycle.
- Prepare Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) assessments for clients.
- Performing portfolio monitoring activates such as breach management and other reporting and liaise with credit risk where required
- Inputting and maintain client, credit and transaction data and ensure data accuracy and quality across systems.
- Collecting client information to facilitate and support the Know Your Customer ‘KYC’ on-boarding process for new clients and the KYC review process for existing clients

**We’re interested in hearing from people who have**:

- Tertiary qualifications in a business related field combined with good interpersonal skills and a problem solving mindset.
- An understanding of risk management and credit risk issues, and have demonstrable financial modelling, research and analytical skills
- Knowledge of CBA systems will be highly regarded but not essential, as will front or back office experience in Business, Corporate or Institutional banking.
- Knowledge of KYC requirements will be highly regarded.
