**OVERVIEW**

The Corporate Strategy & Development Executive is a team player tasked as a partner and support to the Vice President of Corporate Strategy & Development to support across the department in meeting Sentient’s strategy, operational plan and objectives. This pivotal function contributes directly to materialising the KPIs of the department.

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Combining his/her knowledge in digital technology, software engineering and business acumen, he/she will be expected to contribute with market assessments, competitive reviews and proactive recommendations by partnering other team mates in delivery of Dept work.
- Embark on market research including but not limited to the purpose of identifying partnerships opportunities for the business
- Provide support in writing business plans, developing of mutually beneficial partnerships with other startups, tech giants and strategic alliances
- Provide support in writing corporate strategy and investment pitch decks
- Be the conduit with other internal stakeholders, e.g. science and research, engineering, product teams.
- Support in departmental general administration work, e.g. grants, business proposals and etc.

**LEARNING OUTCOMES & OBJECTIVES**
- Able to showcase his/her contributions to producing Strategy, Business Plans and Investment materials.
- Able to share the ownership of proposals for business plans and develop beneficial partnerships with other startups
- Learn what it takes to build an ecosystem in a startup environment and during the infancy stages of a company, including striking relationships for financial support and IP creations.

**ARCHETYPES OF THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE**
- Preferably 2-3 years full-time work experience in a similar function or ICT industry
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information System
- Self-starter with strong interest in the business building side of technopreneurship, venture investment or/and startup ecosystem
- Good knowledge in basic programming and/or computer science, and can demonstrate past practical experiences which translate to basic understanding of Sentient’s products
- Character traits include resourcefulness, highly analytical and strong command of the English language
- Ideally possesses good business acumen, i.e. able to rapidly develop understanding of and respond to diverse business situations
