- Description:
**Job Summary**:
Perform general ledger operations, closing of accounts and financial reports preparation, and GST reporting, including reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and following through on action plan and status of balance sheet to ensure timely recording of accounts.

**General Responsibilities**:

- **General ledger operations**
- Support timely and accurate recording of general ledger entries, including month-end, year-end, and ad-hoc closing activities
- Reconcile and maintain balance sheet accounts, ensure accurate and timely recognition of accounts
- Following through on action plan and status of balance sheet open items clearing
- Prepare analysis of accounts to ensure variances and reconciling items are identified and resolved in a timely manner
- Prepare balance sheet schedules
- Review and verify general ledger accounts assignment of non-trade purchase orders and payment requests
- Review weekly accounts payable payment proposal
- **GST reporting and audit preparation support**
- Prepare quarterly GST report for submission to tax authorities according to the applicable tax regulations
- Checks completion of transaction documents to ensure GST filing compliance
- Prepare withholding tax computation
- Provide support in preparation of information to be provided for internal and external auditors to facilitate the auditing process and statutory financial reporting

**Functional Skills and Knowledge**:

- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in basic office software
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Experience with an ERP system
- SAP Experience

**Education and Work Experience**:
**Education**:

- Degree or professional qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline

Work Experience:

- Minimum: fresh graduate to 1 year working in an accounting related role
- Preferred: 2 years post-graduation experience in an accounting role with a multi-national company
