**The Role**:
**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Giving accurate and timely counsel to the business on a variety of legal topics, including commercial contracts, technology licensing, corporate governance and fundraising.
- Advising on and negotiating Contour’s standard customer contracts and partnership & brand arrangements with our global FI and MNC client base.
- Managing Contour’s intellectual property and data privacy portfolio, including trade mark licensing and hosting arrangements.
- Support the company’s fundraising and M&A activities.
- Drafting and reviewing internal risk and governance policies and regularly monitor compliance.
- Oversee regulatory compliance and liaise with regulatory authorities and external counsel where necessary, creating relations of trust.
- Oversee Contour’s internal procurement function and negotiating with third party vendors.
- Provide legal input into product development and sales strategy.
- Establish tools and processes to support standardisation and scalability.
- Collaborate with our Members and the wider trade finance / blockchain ecosystem on regulatory and industry initiatives.
- Promote Contour’s mission, approach and strategy in public forums (conferences, white-papers, etc).

**Qualifications**
- 6+ years of experience at an international law firm, reputable in-house company or growth start-up, with substantive experience negotiating commercial contracts and/or M&A.
- Qualified to practice in Singapore, England & Wales, Australia, or other established common law jurisdiction.
- Background in TMT law or M&A will be considered favourably.
- High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
- Highly commercially minded.
- Proven interest within the technology / fintech / blockchain / DeFi space. Experience with trade finance, start-ups or fundraising a plus.
- Ability to collaborate closely with business owners, finance, engineering and procurement on client and vendor matters.
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills.
- Ability to consistently and positively contribute in a fast-paced, changing work environment.
