The Organisation is seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Biostatistician to join the Monitoring and Surveillance team. Contributing to the Organisation’s goal of being a thought leader in evidence-based public health, the jobholder will play a key role in the generation of high-quality monitoring and surveillance data to guide the formulation of healthy living solutions. The aim is to advance data-driven health promotion by integrating monitoring and surveillance with policy and practice at the national level.

The jobholder will play a key role to:

- Conduct advanced analytics across multiple data sources (e.g. population health surveillance, dietary surveillance, registries, the Organisation's administrative data, whole of government administrative data, etc.) to analyse and forecast trends of behavioural risk factors, health conditions and major diseases so as to facilitate the formulation and review of national policies / strategies / programmes.
- Leverage data across multiple data sources to facilitate data triangulation, and better connect the dots for monitoring and tracking purposes.
- Generate learnings from analysis of data from diverse data sources, distil insights and translate findings to practical recommendations to support policy and strategy development for business needs.
- Communicate findings effectively through the use of various techniques (e.g. data visualisation techniques) and good verbal presentation skills to a wide and diverse range of stakeholders.
- Provide technical and analytical leadership to further the development of advanced statistical and analytical capabilities of matrix cross-functional working teams in the Organisation.

**_Requirements: _**
- Post-graduate / Masters degree in biostatistics / statistics; having health-related experience and computing skills with high-level programming languages will be an added advantage.
- Excellent analytical skills, including knowledge and experience in using multiple statistical software (e.g. SAS, SPSS, STATA, R, etc.); experience with data visualisation software will be an added advantage.
- At least 5-10 years of working experience in biostatistics / data analysis / epidemiology.
- Demonstrated thought leadership with a passion for translating data into action and business insights
