**About the Team**
Workday’s Corporate Affairs team supports our growth globally and in the Asia Pacific region by helping to shape a business environment conducive to Workday’s strategy, partnering with our teams focusing on public sector business development, and elevating Workday’s global brand.
**About the Role**
Are you looking for a new role at a growing enterprise cloud company at a time of continued focus on the tech sector and cloud adoption? Our Corporate Affairs team is seeking a new team member who will drive Workday’s Asia Pacific corporate affairs activities, lead our public policy engagement efforts, and support our public sector business development throughout the region. You will be joining a dynamic and results oriented government relations team, working closely with our Legal, Compliance & Corporate Affairs colleagues, and engaging with the public sector sales, corporate communications and marketing teams.
Located in Singapore and reporting to the Head of EMEA/Asia Pacific Corporate Affairs, the responsibilities of this position include:
- Promoting Workday as a trusted and high integrity technology partner providing software solutions that inspire a better workday for all.
- Analyzing policies and legislation impacting our business; including those related to our core issues of privacy, data flows, artificial intelligence, workforce, public sector digital transformation, sustainability, and cybersecurity, among other issues.
- Developing policy and legislative positioning tied to our business interests, shaping our advocacy and building our policy brand with key partners including policymakers and regulators in key markets in the region.
- Creating advocacy campaigns advancing our positions on policy and legislation, building our company profile, and opening up business opportunities; including legislative proposals, regulatory submissions, coalitions, events, position papers, etc.
- Driving engagement with policymakers at regional and local level; including building durable and strategic relationships that position Workday as a “trusted advisor.”
- Collaborating with the business and legal counsel in region to drive policy and legislation expanding addressable markets and working closely with public sector sales teams to promote Workday, remove hurdles, and nurture opportunities for adoption of Workday in the public sector.
- Driving the selection of and engagement with outside expertise; including law firms, government affairs consultants, think tanks and third party advocacy partners.
- Leading Workday’s engagement in regional and national trade associations; including shaping positioning, influencing key initiatives, and using their assistance to drive our campaigns.
**About You**
- Basic Qualifications- 10+years of relevant professional experience from public sector organisations, corporations, trade associations or consultancies / law firms, with a strong focus on the Asia Pacific region.
- Record of success handling policy matters and relationships related to privacy, data flows, artificial intelligence, workforce, public sector digital transformation, sustainability, and cybersecurity.
- Other Qualifications- Have a proven understanding of political and policy processes and institutions in key countries in the Asia Pacific region.
- Understand the policy, technology and business landscape for the Asia Pacific and global technology sector, especially with regards to the Cloud and SaaS industries.
- Have established networks and working relationships within regional and national policy environments, both public institutions and private sector bodies.
- Experience crafting and carrying out advocacy campaigns engaging policymakers and partners.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills: ability to produce high-quality writing on complex issues, and to engage with senior policy makers with integrity and credibility.
- Ability to balance different priorities and running multiple projects simultaneously.
- Results-oriented mentality with a high degree of independence and ability to deliver in a fast-paced environment.
- An ambitious approach and ability to self-start, and possess solid judgment and a sense of humor.
- Strong collaboration and team-working skills.
