Working Hours

Term Time:
Mondays to Thursdays: 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM (inclusive of 1-hour lunch break)

Fridays: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM (inclusive of 1-hour lunch break)

Hours may be adjusted based on lesson schedules provided by the teacher-in-charge.

Non-Working Days:
Saturdays, Sundays, and gazetted public holidays

School holidays, including:
March school holidays

Mid-year school holidays

September school holidays

End-of-year school holidays

Youth Day, Day after National Day, and Teacher’s Day

Scope of Services

The Science Lab Assistant will ensure smooth operation and maintenance of the school’s science laboratories and science room, supporting teachers in lesson preparation and execution. Responsibilities include:
1. Lab Preparation & Support

Prepare apparatus, materials, and equipment for experiments and practical lessons.

Support teachers in lesson preparation and experiment setup.

Assist in science research projects and school events related to science.

Invigilate science practical assessments.

2. Lab Operations & Maintenance

Maintain cleanliness, organisation, and safety of laboratories and storerooms.

Monitor laboratory usage schedules for teachers.

Assist in procurement of science equipment, instruments, and materials.

Liaise with vendors or contractors for equipment servicing and repairs.

3. Inventory & Record Management

Perform data entry and update laboratory storage and inventory systems.

Track usage and condition of laboratory resources and replenish as needed.

4. Physical Requirements

Able to climb staircases (laboratories are located from Level 2 to Level 4; no lift access).

5. Other Duties

Carry out any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications & Skills

Relevant expertise and work experience in science laboratory operations.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Completed at least Secondary education and able to speak English fluently.

Pay: Up to $3,000.00 per month
