**Associate Director, Industry Relations**

Reporting to the Managing Director, APAC and Global Industry Relations, the Associate Director, Industry Relations will assume overall responsibility to execute BCD M&E's global industry relations strategy and annual supplier income goals for the APAC region.

The Associate Director, Industry Relations will support, execute and drive Industry Relations vision, strategic plan, business objectives, and specific goals for the APAC region, ensuring oversight, management, performance, and relationship development of supplier partners & global network.

**Your responsibilities**:
**Industry Relations**
- Supports in the ideation, development, and implementation of Industry Relations strategy and annual objectives. Includes but not limited to supplier partner evaluation/vetting, commercial enhancement of supplier partner agreements, and establishment of new supplier partner agreements, as directed.
- Accountable for support in achieving annual global & APAC regional supplier income targets.
- Oversees specific assigned global and regional preferred partner relationships including; management, maintenance, agreement renewal, annual strategic plan development/execution, and connectivity w/APAC account teams (includes Global Network).
- Responsible for increasing preferred supplier market share & supplier income through regional adoption and compliance of preferred partners.
- Work closely with APAC MD, Senior Leadership Team, Country Directors & Global Network leadership in support of global & regional Industry Relations goals and initiatives.
- Responsible for APAC Eved adoption & compliance through training, account team consultation, RFP monitoring, & dissemination/review of individual account team Eved stats.
- Knows Eved, Cvent, 1000 Meetings functionality at a high level to support simple training and respond to basic regional questions/needs.
- Responsible for ensuring Industry Relations quarterly reports by APAC account teams (including global network partners) are timely, accurate, & complete.
- Reviews preferred hotel supplier production to goals with each APAC account team and APAC SLT quarterly, and assists with strategies to improve performance, compliance, and drive preferred share.
- APAC liaison to global Industry Relations for hotels, DMCs, and other supplier categories as applicable.
- Regional contact for Industry Relations for consulting & supplier issue/resolution escalation.
- Conducts new supplier partner risk assessments, negotiations, onboarding, & implementations as directed.
- Responsible for engagement and leverage of APAC IR Ambassadors to maximize commercial opportunities within each account team.
- Responsible for maximizing performance of commercial agreements by increasing regional adoption and compliance of preferred partners.
- Ensures all regional supplier partners are vetted & routinely reevaluated to minimize client & BCD risk.
- Measures & reports on APAC account teams, markets, and region performance against targeted goals.
- Responsible for Industry Relations regional communication, updates, & marketing to support initiatives
- Conduit for the voice of BCD M&E and our client base to the APAC industry marketplace.
- Supports regional supplier advisory boards, key industry events, speaking engagements, & trade shows as a hosted buyer that benefit BCD M&E & clients, as approved & directed.
- Keeps current on industry trends, competitive set, and supplier marketplace.
- Travel may be required to APAC offices in support of Industry Relations.
- Work closely with Industry Relations leadership team members to manage/monitor sponsorship and comp room needs as applicable for APAC; determine supplier selection strategy per opportunity.
- Establish, maintain, and build strong, trusting, & solution-oriented relationships across BCD M&E's global supplier base and with APAC account team leaders in support of daily responsibilities.
- Support APAC team as required in the following but not limited to; client/sales/MM consultations, proposal strategies, product knowledge, & presentations where applicable.
