**Associate Director, Supplier Relations**:

- Singapore_

Reporting to the SVP, Global Supplier Relations & dotted line to the APAC Managing Director and VP, Global Network.

The Associate Director will support, execute and drive BCD M&E’s Supplier Relations’ global vision, strategic plan, business objectives, and specific goals for the APAC region, ensuring oversight, management, performance, and relationship development of supplier partners and support of the Global Network.

**Your responsibilities**:
Project Reconciliation:

- Support the ideation, development, and implementation of Supplier Relations and Global Network strategy and annual objectives.
- Oversee assigned global and regional preferred partner relationships including management, maintenance, agreement renewal, new agreement negotiations and implementation, annual strategic plan development and execution, reporting, and connectivity with regional account teams. This includes hotels, DMCs and other supplier categories as applicable.
- Increase preferred supplier market share and supplier revenue through regional adoption and compliance of preferred partners.
- Work closely with APAC Managing Director, Senior Leadership Team, Line of Business leadership in support of global and regional Supplier Relations goals and initiatives to help drive the strategy and compliance at the account level.
- Manage the sourcing of sponsorship elements (includes hotel, CVB, DMC, AV and other supplier categories) for internal meeting requests across all of APAC.
- Work with Cvent, 1000 Meetings, Eved and local technology tools at a high level to support simple training and respond to basic regional questions/needs.
- Supports regional supplier advisory boards, key supplier events, speaking engagements, & trade shows as a hosted buyer that benefit BCD M&E & clients, as approved & directed.
- Assume and perform other duties and responsibilities not specifically outlined herein, but which are logically and properly inherent to the position.

**You are good at**:

- Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment with ease as well as excellent at relationship management & team building skills including understanding the cultural nuances.
- Self-starter who works independently, innovates, thinks strategically, implement action plans, achieve goals and implements new ideas.
- Able to delegate, work with, and drive performance with teams who don't report to you directly.
- Expert in identifying, developing, negotiating, and managing preferred/approved supplier commercial agreements.
- Able to work well under pressure and adapt to ever-changing marketplace needs & challenges.

**You might also have**:

- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 7+ years of meetings & events Supplier experience
- 5+ years of supplier relationship management responsibility/accountability
- Minimum of 3 years-experience managing people
- Strong inter-personal and analytical skills
- Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking)
- Advanced proficiency/experience w/Microsoft Excel & Pivot Tables a plus
