**Responsibilities**

About the Team: High ethical standards and a culture of integrity will play a pivotal role in achieving the vision of the Ethics Office. The Ethics Office was created to guide ethical leadership and decision making; develop, educate, and raise awareness of internal policies; and lead and manage investigations. Position Summary: We are looking for an individual with a legal, ethics, or compliance background for the Ethics Office's APAC region, which includes South East Asia, Australia, India, Japan, Korea. The individual will drive programs that will lay the foundation for new ways of working: including investigation & discipline, policy/SOP creation, and regional ethics training programs. You will be joining our APAC Ethics Office to: - Conduct and handle investigation and discipline work independently. - Liaise with key stakeholders, including Employment Legal and HRBP, to facilitate / support investigations and disciplinary actions. - Drive continuous improvement on current policies, keeping abreast of the latest development in the APAC jurisdiction and working closely with the Ethics leaders alongside global cross-collaboration teams to amend policies and drive training and raise awareness through multi-level channels. - Be the lead in the identification and delivery of Ethics projects/continuous improvement initiatives to improve the policy framework, increase knowledge within the firm and expand Ethics & Compliance capability within the team. - Participate in the development and delivery of training, evaluate effectiveness and knowledge retention, and assess employee perceptions of Bytedance's ethical culture. - Drive employee awareness and engagement on ethics and integrity agenda, including education on Code of Conduct and other related Ethics policies.

**Qualifications**

Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree in Law, Business, Finance, or a related field. - Extensive years of work experience in ethics, compliance, legal, or related functions. - Strong knowledge of relevant regulations and industry standards (e.g anti bribery, data privacy, Code of Conduct). - Proven ability to handle allegation reviews and investigations properly, efficiently, and effectively. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally both locally and internationally. - Hands-on approach with a bias for action and flexibility to meet the needs of a rapidly growing company. Preferred Qualifications: - Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and programs concurrently. - Experience working in a technology business or conducting in-house corporate investigations is highly preferred. - High learning agility and the ability to develop effective solutions in complex situations. #LI-Hybrid
