Senior Specialist, Vsm Laboratory

The local site operates complex, multi-product facilities that manufacture active pharmaceutical ingredients, oral solid dosage, inhalation, and sterile drug products.

The position of Senior Specialist in Value Stream (VSM) Laboratory will be responsible for ensuring and maintaining high standards of quality and compliance within our organization.

**Senior Specialist (Lead Chemist)**

In addition to the responsibilities of Senior Chemist, you will also be responsible for all or subset of the key responsibilities below:

- Participate in analytical/ microbiological method transfer/ validation/ verification, new product introduction and equipment qualification.
- Assist in conducting laboratory investigations and ensure effective implementation of related actions within the agreed timeframe.
- Provide inputs for the development and revision of Analytical Standards, Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions and other GMP documents.
- Execute quality and laboratory improvement initiatives and other special projects.
- Perform review of laboratory documents such as orphan data check and equipment logs.
- Provide laboratory skills training to other laboratory personnel, ensuring they have the necessary knowledge and competencies to perform their duties effectively.
- Conduct troubleshooting of test methods and equipment as required, identifying and resolving any issues that may impact the accuracy or reliability of test results.
- Assume role of Subject-Matter-Expert of analytical tests and collaborates closely with other site and above-site functions to address testing method and specifications-related matters. This includes actively participating in discussions, sharing expertise, and providing input to ensure alignment and consistency across the organization.
- Execute laboratory changes such as GLIMS updates and test method changes.
- Support and respond to audit requirements and findings.
- Perform laboratory assessments of compendial updates and implement changes to analytical standards.
- Assist Laboratory Manager in daily operations and strategized planning to ensure that all business and compliance requirements are met.
- Lead quality and laboratory improvement initiatives, including special projects such as new product introduction, method transfer and method validation.
- Act as delegate to Laboratory Manager, providing leadership and guidance as needed.

**Qualifications & Experience**

Senior Specialist (Lead Chemist/ Microbiologist)
- Bachelor’s degree in Science/ Life Science, Pharmaceutical Science, Engineering or proven relevant experience.
- Minimum 6 years of applied professional work experience in the quality laboratory.
- Demonstrated experience in change and project management with ability to lead a cross functional high-performance team.
