Core Responsibilities of the EXD Aftermarket & Services Growth Director include:
**1. Strategic Growth Leadership**:
The EXD Services Growth Director is accountable for accelerating services growth to meet the services growth commitments. This includes:

- Driving relevance with both existing and untapped customer segments, including second and third machine owners and “unknown” customers not currently engaged in aftermarket services.
- Leading initiatives with a sense of urgency that create a flywheel effect—enhancing customer loyalty, satisfaction, and dealer growth while boosting product revenue and OPACC.

**2. Program and Workstream Oversight**:
The Director leads and coordinates multiple workstreams under the EXD Growth Strategy, including:

- Rebuild Services: Setting regional rebuild revenue targets and aligning with CISD and dealers to define stretch goals.
- Kit Offerings: Evaluating current kit performance, identifying regional focus areas (e.g., North America and Europe), and developing a process for kit approval.
- Unknown Customer Engagement: Refining strategies to reach previously unengaged customer segments and identifying new leadership to accelerate progress.

**3. Cross-Functional Collaboration**:
The role requires deep collaboration across enterprise functions:

- Working with component groups, PSLD distribution, CISD, DSD, and Cat Financial to drive integrated solutions.
- Supporting dealer services growth plans and enabling capabilities through internal and external partnerships.

**4. Execution and Governance**:
The Director is responsible for:

- Developing and executing a roadmap for prioritized services opportunities.
- Delivering on key milestones, including finalized workplans, weekly working sessions, and integration of CI initiatives.
- Participating in governance reviews and post-mortem evaluations of business case effectiveness.

**5. Financial and Operational Accountability**:

- Ensuring services growth contributes to OPACC and aligns with broader EXD financial goals.
- Maintaining cost discipline and supporting cost reduction initiatives,.

**6. Team and Talent Development**:

- Building and leading a high-performing team with a focus on leadership development, diversity, and inclusion.
- Demonstrating Leadership to reinforce a culture of performance and engagement.

**Skill Descriptors**

Customer Focus: Knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.

Data Gathering & Analysis: Knowledge of data gathering and analysis tools, techniques, and processes; ability to collect and synthesize data from a variety of stakeholders and sources in an objective manner to reach a conclusion, goal, or judgment.

Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.

Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.

Value Selling: Knowledge of the principles and practices for selling products, technology and services; ability to provide overall product/service 'value' and to differentiate support offerings that address clearly understood customer needs.
