Role Overview

As our Software Support Engineer, you will work with the ecoSPIRITS Closed Loop Operations team and the Management Team to assist with the following:

- Work closely with cross-functional groups, including internal stakeholders and external customers/vendors, to formalize program and product user requirements
- Drive and lead the test effort from planning and organization to execution and delivery
- Develop effective test strategies
- Advocate and educate product design and implementation. Work with teams to evaluate the testability of new features and changes
- Influence design, and promote the best engineering practices, bug prevention strategies, testability, and other quality attributes the Company products
- Work with project teams highlighting and detailing any risks and assumptions identified
- Provide critical feedback to product managers to improve existing features and capabilities
- Conduct the necessary research on new technologies, evaluate, prototype, and plan improvements to the platform
- Write technical specs for new services and conduct training sessions for employees and users
- Take part in design discussions, code reviewing, and integration testing

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As Software Support Engineer, your detailed responsibilities include:
AREAS WEIGHT DETAILS

Project Implementation (40%)
- Assist all project activities to ensure compliance with SOP
- Develop special project scoping, analysis, and planning
- Ensure that projects are delivered on time, and on a budget to the agreed specification
- Organize and control internal and external project resources and progress
- Collect data from users, open and maintain customer accounts
- Select and manage the activities of external design contractors to ensure a satisfactory standard of service received

Technical Support (40%)
- Provide system support and interact with end-users as the first escalation point for IT and website issues
- First-level technical support and training to staff and customers on how to use the platform
- Routine hardware and software maintenance and troubleshooting of networking and connectivity issues
- Login setup and administration for new employees and customers
- Testing, deploying, troubleshooting, upgrading, and managing internal systems
- Development of SOP in accordance with the Company’s business systems and processes
- Escalate unresolved complex issues as appropriate

Product Development 20%
- Evaluate new products and concepts
- Performance testing and recommend design modifications
- Validate new product features, test conditions, and test methodologies
- Execute product improvement activities to reduce cost, improve yield and resolve quality issues
- Collaborate with internal teams and customers

Key Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in IT-related product development or technical support
- Be familiar with Agile Development
- Enthusiastic for a self-managed environment where one’s actions can truly make a difference
- Strong Mandarin in speaking and writing will be preferable
- Able to communicate effectively with internal team as well as with vendors
- Reliable and consistent in their approach
- Able to juggle competing priorities that are a common occurrence in the industry
- A self-starter, organized and self-motivated with the ability to define goals
- Accountable, reliable, and adopts a ‘business-owner’ work mentality
