**What the role is**
- The officer will be part of a dynamic team that works to strengthen Singapore’s legal services sector, in order to maintain Singapore’s position as a leading international legal and dispute resolution hub. The Legal Industry Division is responsible for policies and initiatives relating to legal industry development, international partnerships in the legal field, legal sector regulation, and legal sector manpower development.
**What you will be working on**
- The officer will support the Division’s industry partnerships efforts. This includes working closely with legal industry stakeholders in the government, academic and private sectors (e.g. law schools, law firms, the Law Society of Singapore and Singapore’s arbitral and mediation institutions) on a wide range of policy initiatives that have a direct and significant impact on Singapore’s legal industry. The officer will also need to work hand in hand with other divisions within MinLaw. The officer will have the opportunity to take the lead on engagements with stakeholders.
**What we are looking for**
- At least 3-5 years’ work experience in the legal industry or other relevant experience. - Highly motivated, with a strong sense of initiative, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. - Strong analytical, planning and organisational skills. - Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to engage people at all levels and work effectively both as an individual contributor and in a team setting. - Strong communication skills, both spoken and written. Familiarity with the legal industry will be an advantage.
