Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic Global Lead for Creative Content (Video & Motion) to oversee and elevate Mastercard Digital Labs' video and motion design capabilities. This role is a unique blend of hands-on creative execution and global team leadership, ensuring the delivery of high-quality content aligned with business objectives. You will manage a talented team of creative video professionals across North America (NAM), Latin America (LAC), Europe (EU), and Asia-Pacific (AP), overseeing operations, building strategic partnerships, and contributing directly to key creative projects.
Roles and Responsibilities
Global Team Leadership and Operations:
- Lead a team of creative video professionals across NAM, LAC, EU, and AP, fostering a culture of collaboration, creativity, and accountability.
- Oversee day-to-day team operations, including scheduling, resource allocation, expense management, and performance tracking.
- Partner with stakeholders to balance workloads and ensure the team is equipped to meet business demands and project requirements.
- Mentor and develop team members, supporting their professional growth and enhancing overall team performance.
Creative Execution and Oversight:
- Lead fast turnaround productions for high-priority projects. Execution including creative direction, concept, scriptwriting, editing, and motion design, to set and maintain a standard of creative excellence.
- Drive innovation by adopting and championing new tools, techniques, and workflows in video production and motion design.
- Stay informed on industry trends in video production, motion design, and storytelling to maintain Mastercard’s competitive edge.
Client Engagement and Collaboration:
- Serve as a senior creative voice in client interactions, presenting ideas, gathering feedback, and ensuring alignment with client objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product, and business units, to deliver integrated campaigns and content solutions.
- Represent Mastercard Digital Labs in workshops, pitches, and feedback sessions, positioning the team as a trusted creative partner.
Strategic Leadership:
- Define and implement a global strategy for video and motion content that supports Mastercard Digital Labs’ innovation and client engagement goals.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align creative outputs with strategic business requirements
- Foster partnerships with internal teams and external vendors to enhance creative capabilities and drive cost-effective solutions.
- Act as a senior advocate for video and motion design within Mastercard, shaping its role in delivering impactful client experiences.
**Qualifications**:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a creative field.
- 10+ years of experience in video production, motion design, or creative leadership, with significant experience managing global teams.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating both hands-on creative expertise and leadership impact.
- Experience working in design thinking workshops with UX teams is favourable.
Skills and Competencies:
- Creative Direction with an outstanding storytelling, visual communication, and client presentation lens.
- Advanced proficiency in video production tools and techniques, including Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Premiere Pro).
- Exceptional leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage diverse teams across multiple time zones.
- Expertise in scheduling, resource allocation, expense management, and team operations.
- A collaborative leader who thrives in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- A strategic thinker with a passion for delivering measurable business outcomes through creative excellence.
