**The Role**
As Regional Director you’ll lead CIPD’s presence in Asia. You will provide leadership for the Singapore-based team and work very closely with all of CIPD’s Directorates to deliver the strategy to drive customer and revenue growth, further develop CIPD’s reputation, influence and impact across the region in existing and new markets.
You’ll be a regional brand ambassador, represent the CIPD at senior levels within government and public sector, via meetings, on panels, at media briefings and market wide events, with the goal of raising CIPD’s profile and brand within the region. You’ll build strong relationships with corporate customers, members, local partners and trusted providers and extend CIPD’s reach and influence across the region.
**What You’ll Be Doing**
- Leading and delivering CIPD’s global strategy through business and market development. In addition, leading and executing the regional sales strategy to drive growth in current and new geographical locations in the region
- Working closely with the Market Development Lead, to develop new markets and channels in line with the portfolio
- Establishing and maintaining a continuous pipeline of new business opportunities that drive high net revenue growth and margins across current and new locations enabling the CIPD to increase its geographical footprint.
- Providing leadership and managing the regional team. This includes setting objectives aligned to strategic priorities, monitoring sales performance, coaching, mentoring and development of the team to improve capability and maximise performance
- Building, managing and developing relationships with key B2B leaders, local government, and other public sector stakeholders
- Collaborating with Global Marketing Team to conduct market research and analysis to prepare marketing, communications and, content campaigns and, to provide market insights and intelligence to create business plans on commercial opportunities.
**What You’ll Need To Be Successful**
- Extensive experience of operating at a senior/director level with a fluency in English, strong business acumen and credibility as a senior leader
- Commercially and financially astute with experience in managing commercial relationships and a commercial end-to-end business
- Strong team leadership and coaching skills - experience building high performing teams
- Excellent, demonstrable track record in creating and growing relationships in a multinational environment across multiple sectors, achieved through the successful selling of complex client solutions and sophisticated products into a senior HR leader population
- Previous HR/L&D capability and experience of holding senior HR/L&D or Talent/Executive Development role in an MNC with strong brand in people practice, with knowledge to deliver
- Well-developed business development and key account management skills
- Strong proposal writing, pitching and commercial acumen will be key
- Extensive operational and strategic experience in the local region
