We are looking for an Application Team Lead

Job responsibilities:

- Managing and coordinating urgent and complicated support issues.
- Develop and improve phone/ticket escalation processes to ensure free flowing escalation and information within the organisation.
- Determine the root cause of issues and communicate appropriately to internal and external customers.
- Train, coach and mentor Application Specialists, overseeing activities.
- As needed, manage the team members’ working times and provide backup support. Interact with internal and external customers.
- Be Level 2 and beyond support for IT solutions related incidents.
- Work on reported incidents and manage escalations until workaround is found and service is returned to normalcy.
- Update incidents status in IT Service Desk System.
- Escalate incidents to IT Manager or Director in accordance to procedures if not resolved.

Requirement:

- A diploma or degree in an IT related discipline preferred
- A minimum of five years experience in Application Support and Development essential
- A minimum of two years experience in a team leader role or similar essential
- Good knowledge in the below areas preferred: System Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Agile and Waterfall methodologies in Software Development and Project Management
- Experience in integrating different platforms such as Powershell, Phyton,.NET, Java, SQL Server Integration Services, and Reporting Services in an International school environment preferred
- Enjoy mentoring a team and serving as a lead
- Enjoy working with end users in understanding their needs, planning, designing and delivering solutions
- Enjoy performing business process analysis and documenting findings
- Enjoy being a team player and working in a team setting
- Have good interpersonal skills with end users from diverse backgrounds
- Have good command of English with ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner will be an advantage due to working scope of this position
- Have good work ethics
