Job Responsibilities:
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented individual to assist our legal department in creating a comprehensive database of key contractual terms. The intern will be responsible for reviewing signed contracts, extracting essential terms, and organizing the information in a structured database for easy reference.

This internship offers an opportunity to gain practical experience and exposure to a wide range of commercial contracts, and offers an insight into the key issues that in-house legal teams seek to address.

**Responsibilities**:

- Contract Review: Review a variety of contracts and identify key terms such as renewal terms, termination clauses, indemnification provisions, etc.
- Database Creation: Collaborate with the legal team to develop and maintain a structured database for organizing contractual terms efficiently.
- Leverage off available AI tools to increase efficiency.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of data entered into the database.

Learning Objectives:

- Understanding Contractual Terms: Develop a comprehensive understanding of common contractual terms and provisions across different types of agreements.
- Database Management Skills: Acquire proficiency in database management techniques, including data entry, organization, and maintenance.
- Legal Research Skills: Enhance research skills by learning how to effectively search and analyze legal resources to support contract analysis.
- Attention to Detail: Cultivate an eye for detail and accuracy in reviewing and summarizing contractual documents.
- Team Collaboration: Learn to collaborate effectively to achieve common objectives.
- Exposure to Legal Processes: Gain insight into the complexities of contractual agreements and legal processes, contributing to a deeper understanding of in-house legal work.

Pre-Requisites:

- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in law or a related field.
- Good knowledge of corporate or business law requirements
- Detail-orientated and organized.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office such as Word, Excel, and SharePoint.
- Able to commit a minimum of 3 months for optimal learning exposure
