Established in 1972, the monthly peer-reviewed journal seeks to publish novel findings from clinical research and medical practices that can benefit the medical community. It serves the various specialties that form the membership of the Academy, covering healthcare challenges, clinical management, medical education, emerging disease trends and scientific breakthroughs.

**About the Job/Position**

**Responsibilities**:

- Oversee and manage the monthly production of the online journal/articles from receipt of manuscripts to online publication to agreed targets and objectives;
- Drive journal growth and development through engagement with Editorial Board;
- Liaise with editors, editorial assistants, authors, service providers, suppliers and internal departments;
- Manage and lead a team of Editorial staff members and freelancers;
- Create and execute marketing plans to increase awareness and grow readership audiences and author submissions;
- Oversee the maintenance of journal website and databases;
- Conduct web analytics and collate data regularly to monitor journal traffic and develop/implement web strategies/initiatives;
- Provide regular and accurate reports on schedule, production performance, analysis, and, where appropriate, make recommendations for improvement;
- Oversee the overall administration of the Annals, including the development of meetings, agenda and supporting materials, and recording minutes related to the journal activities;
- Perform other Annals-related tasks and projects as assigned.

**Requirements**:

- Degree with minimum of 5-8 years of work experience in an editorial/publishing environment, preferably with journal management experience;
- Target driven individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
- Independent, highly organized, and able to prioritise and meet deadlines;
- Collaborative team player, able to supervise and mentor team members and facilitate team development;
- Technology savvy with knowledge of database management;
- Able to work with data to perform market analyses of publishing landscape and identify editorial strategies and growth areas;
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills to identify and address problems quickly and independently;
- Resourceful and able to adapt to changing priorities and perform well under stressful situations.
