The Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine is a partnership between NTU Singapore and Imperial College London. As a Deputy Director of Advancement, the incumbent will oversee the Development & philanthropic giving, and Alumni Relations & Engagement.
**Development**
- Responsible for leadership and management of the entire gifts to LKCMedicine.
- Responsible for establishing and reviewing stewardship framework and roadmap for philanthropic activities for fund raising efforts that aligns with the overall mission of the School.
- Develops and implements plans for increasing philanthropic support through fundraising programs and activities in annual giving, special focus, capital campaigns, and for expendable and/or endowment funds.
- Cultivate philanthropic ambassadors and help drive various annual major gifts initiatives and ensure proper governance by providing support in reporting as well as developing and managing various donation.
- Build and strengthen relationships with potential and repeat donors through strategic and thoughtful ongoing communications and engagement platforms.
- Conducts portfolio analysis to ensure discovery, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship goals are met.
- Prepare written materials for senior management, in advance of meetings with individual donors and prospects, including drafting of tailored, strategic communications to prospective donors with specific programmatic interests (e.g. pitch decks and gift proposals).
- Report progress to senior management on status of cultivating prospective donors and provide operational support for advancing gift purposes where required.
- Keep abreast of current events and trends in philanthropy and fundraising.
- Supervise and mentor a team that associated with fundraising efforts.
- Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
**Alumni Relations and Engagement**
- Develop strategy and implement initiatives to drive alumni engagement with increases in terms the alumni numbers (as cohort size increases) as well as frequency of our engagement with alumni.
- Develop new initiatives to get alumni to actively participate in School’s post graduate taught programmes as part of their career development and progression.
- Engage alumni to actively contribute back to LKCMedicine through philanthropic support, fostering strong relationships with alumni by engaging them in the life of the University and with each other, making connections for current students through the network of alumni and friends and helping our young alumni doctors through networking with thought leaders in medical field
- Collaborate with departments to foster greater engagement and grow LKCMedicine visibility.
**Requirements**:
- A minimum of 8 years’ experience as development specialist with proven record of professional fundraising success, donor relations and stewardship experience including significant major gift and campaign experience preferably in an academic or healthcare setting.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and interact effectively with high-level organization leaders, board members, faculty, staff and volunteers.
- Having a high level of integrity is a requirement for this role.
- Has the capability to design and executive donor-centric engagement activities.
- Has the ability to build a strong team, inspire and motivate by example, professionally represent the fund and School at all times.
- Matured, self-motivated, results-oriented and meticulous individual
- Legal background is an added advantage.
This is a 3 years contract appointment.
