The School of Continuing and Lifelong Education (SCALE) was established to drive the expansion of NUS’ lifelong learning offerings in a concerted and strategic way that furthers our mission to be a leading global university, as well as fulfil our role as a public university of Singapore, shaping the future.

Drawing on unparalleled access to the multi-disciplinary expertise of 16 other NUS Faculties/Schools, SCALE offers youth, executive and professional development/education programmes, part-time and full-time degree programmes, as well as modular courses that may be taken singly or stacked towards certificates/diplomas/degrees that meet the lifelong learning needs of individuals. All programmes are designed and developed in consultation with the industry to ensure relevance and currency.

**About the Role**

This role is offered on a 6-month fixed-term contract basis.

**Key Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate with Instructional Designers to conceptualise, design, and create functional and compelling online learning artifacts using graphics, audio, animations, and videos that infuse interactive or gamification elements;
- Conduct research to design and create original characters, avatars, infographics, and appropriate background scenes to convey concepts for online learning;
- Assemble media elements and design interactive learning objects using online learning authoring tools like Articulate;
- Assist in other ad hoc projects, assigned by supervisor/HOD.

**Qualifications**

**Academic & Professional Certification**
- A good bachelor’s degree with multimedia design, visual communication and interactive storytelling skills from a reputable university; fresh university graduates or those with polytechnic diplomas in multimedia or graphics design may apply;
- Strong English language proficiency and visual communication skills are essential;
- A keen eye for design aesthetics and proficient in design softwares of the Adobe Creative Suite such as After Effects, Illustrator and Premiere Pro;

- Competent in 2D animation;
- Competent in digital video and audio editing;
- Possess strong time management and organisational skills;
- Strong team player, able to work collaboratively with various stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes;
- Resilient, resourceful, possesses good problem-solving and critical-thinking skills;
- Experienced in creating multimedia content;
- Basic programming skills (e.g., JavaScript) for developing xAPI or cmi5 packages is advantageous;
- AR & VR development and/or UX/UI design experience will be an added advantage.
