UPI owns and operates direct theatrical marketing and distribution of feature films in many locations around the globe including Austria, Australia, China, France, Germany, Italy, Korea, India, Mexico, Netherlands, Russia, Spain, Switzerland and UK & Eire. In other territories UPI markets and distributes movies through its joint venture offices, as well as in select territories through licensees who are contracted to distribute on UPI's behalf. UPI is a division of Comcast NBCUniversal.
**Job Description**:
This role will be instrumental in leading the theatrical marketing directions and plan within the region. The Theatrical Marketing Director will be responsible for shaping and executing the overall marketing initiatives across South Asia. This role is also responsible for leading the regional marketing team.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Develop strategic theatrical marketing directions, initiatives and plans for UPI South Asia in line with the organization’s goals and objectives.
- Drive and lead creativity, innovation, efficiencies, and idea generation in the region across all marketing functions.
- Work with VP South Asia and Home Office Marketing team in driving the planning, project management and execution of South Asia theatrical marketing campaigns across the region.
- Work closely with VP South Asia, Distribution team and markets to optimize theatrical marketing campaigns and opportunities.
- Work with local marketing teams to understand specific local market strategies, concerns and nuances while also articulating a broader regional perspective.
- Facilitate bringing together markets from across the region, overseeing the implementation of key Home Office priorities, driving the adoption of best practices and idea-sharing, ensuring that local markets have the support and resources they need from the local, regional, or global level to achieve excellence in marketing campaigns.
- Lead regional marketing team in both the strategic and day-to-day functions and operations.
- Guide and ensure that all required deliverables in the region and markets well managed and communicated.
- Lead marketing budget development, management, and analysis as a region and with markets.
- Represent UPI South Asia and markets internally and externally in terms of marketing
- Be a solid extension of Home Office
**Qualifications**:
**QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS**
- Minimum 6 years previous commercial experience at a management/leadership level.
- Experience dealing with the international marketplace, multiple international offices, languages, and cultures required.
