**PURPOSE / SUMMARY**
To provide necessary systems and administrative support to meet or exceed Environmental Health & Safety requirements. Actively participates and leads the organization in expanding and improving the effectiveness of the EHS Management Systems. Will provide support in developing and implementing programs, including tracking, analyzing, reporting, and problem solving. Is responsible for ensuring the organizations compliance with all laws and ordinances as they pertain to environmental affairs. Will be responsible for developing and leading Heraeus Medevio Singapore site in this area.
**RESPONSIBILITIES
- Security Management. To ensure that facility is functioning per Heraeus PMCE requirements in supporting manufacturing operations.
- Oversees maintenance of all safety records, including SDS database, safety training records.
- Plans and handles internal & external audit for ISO45001, WSHMS & BizSafe, EHS compliance.
- Perform the duties of a Workplace Safety and Health Officer in accordance with the Workplace Safety and Health Act.
- To ensure the establishment, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the site EHS management system, including sustainability of ISO45001, Heraeus Production System EHS Development Path, Emergency Response Plan and incident reporting (near miss / observation).
- Involve in management of change processes for purchasing of new equipment and chemical, facilities construction and permits.
- Represent Medevio Singapore in all EHS related topics. Ensure that the site is fully compliant to Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) ACT and regulations including permits, licenses, procedures and operating instructions.
- Organize monthly EHS meetings and prepare monthly EHS report for submission to management.
- Perform monthly site EHS inspection and ensure that all corrective / preventive actions are close in timely manner.
- Develop, maintain and track WSH related KPIs. Continuously improve performance of the EHS system in terms of compliance and audits.
- Lead risk assessment in all major processes and incident investigation activities. Ensure that corrective/ preventive measures are updated in RA and procedures
- Supervises and coordinates training throughout the organization that covers the legal requirements and assures that all employees are adequately trained to perform their job in a way that is safe to themselves, their coworkers and the public. Maintain the sites EHS training plan. Support development, implementation and regular updates of EHS trainings that require EHS expert knowledge.
- Drive ESG related initiatives for Site
- Provides leadership to the location's safety committees.
- Performs other duties as assigned
**EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE**
- Bachelors or master’s degree in a basic science or technical degree in the field of EHS management, or relevant work experience in EHS is required.
- At least 6-8 years of site operations and Manufacturing related experience is required for this position.
- Familiar with (ISO 14001 & 45001) certifications.
- Registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO) & Fire Safety Manager Certification.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Certified ISO auditor qualification preferred.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical skill.
- Strong root cause analysis skills and understanding of Corrective Action and Preventive Action management (CAPA)
