Senior Environmental Health Specialist

The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining a safe working environment in compliance with local regulations and company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Policy Development and Implementation
    • Develop, implement, and maintain Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Risk Assessment and Auditing
    • Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits to ensure workplace safety.
  • Incident Investigation
    • Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Performance Metrics and Reporting
    • Monitor and report on EHS performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.
  • Training and Development
    • Design and deliver EHS training programs to employees and contractors.
  • Safety Culture Enhancement
    • Promote a strong safety culture through regular engagement and communication.
  • Compliance and Regulatory Management
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of EHS legislation, standards, and best practices.
  • Environmental Sustainability Initiatives
    • Ensure environmental sustainability by implementing waste management, emissions control, and other initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Certifications:
    • A registered WSHO certification is required.
  • Experience:
    • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in EHS roles, preferably in the chemical or process industries.
  • Education:
    • A degree in Engineering, Environmental Studies, WSH, or a related field is required.
  • Skills:
    • Strong understanding of local EHS regulations and standards.
    • Experience with EHS management systems (ISO 45001, ISO
    • Proven ability to develop and implement EHS programs.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
