**About the job**:
An APAC Payroll Senior Executive manages the end-to-end payroll process for employees across multiple countries within the Asia-Pacific region. This role involves ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in payroll processing, including salary disbursements, deductions, and statutory contributions. The specialist will also handle payroll queries, prepare reports, and stay updated on regional payroll regulations.
- Process and manage payroll operations for employees across multiple offices in the Asia-Pacific region
- Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing including salary disbursements, deductions, allowances, and statutory contributions
- Coordinate with HR teams and finance departments from different countries to gather payroll data and ensure compliance with local regulations and company policies
- Maintain and update employee payroll data within the payroll system, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Address employee payroll queries and issues promptly and professionally
- Prepare and reconcile payroll reports for management review, including payroll journals, GL files, and ad-hoc reports
- Stay updated on changes in payroll regulations and tax laws across the region and implement necessary updates to ensure compliance
- Ensure adherence to local payroll tax laws, regulations, and company policies across different Asia-Pacific countries
- Assist in payroll-related audits and assessments including handling year-end tax activities, remittances, and reporting
- Collaborate with external payroll service providers and vendors when necessary
**About you**:
- Must be based in Singapore and require no work pass to start work
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- At least 6 to 8 years of experience in payroll administration, preferably in a multinational company in multiple countries, particularly in the Asia-Pacific region
- Strong understanding of payroll regulations, tax regulations, and labor laws in Singapore and in various Asia-Pacific countries
- Proficient in using payroll software and systems
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in payroll processing
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Team player with ability to work independently, with limited supervision and multi-task in a dynamic environment
- Fluency in English Language is required
- Language proficiency in Mandarin is an advantage to handle written documents in Mandarin to process payrolls for Taiwan and China
