The online sales channel is targeted to grow Air New Zealand’s FIT (free, independent traveller) segment from priority markets across South & South East Asia, (Singapore, India, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia) UK and Europe

The role of the Online Manager is to manage online channel sales and audience growth to ensure maximum revenue generation, increased NZ destination preference, consideration and advocacy, and high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.

**Key Outputs**:

- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales and marketing strategy for the online channel online to optimise revenue, customer (consumer and trade) acquisition, retention and conversion, and support the achievement of overall sales and marketing objectives
- Drive channel sales, ensuring optimal profitability, ROI, and cost efficiencies, delivering both outstanding commercial results and high levels of customer satisfaction and retention
- Collaborate with Global Digital team to develop online marketing strategies and execute initiatives to increase brand/product awareness and conversions
- Lead relationships with external agencies, suppliers and third parties to maximise impact and share of voice in the marketplace and deliver on business requirements.
- Manage relevant budgets to ensure costs are controlled and expenditure is within authorised levels
- Manage and grow marketing databases to capture and leverage key data and insights, supporting the development of accurate and effective sales and marketing initiatives and activity
- Maintain the online Storefront, managing feature updates and integration of new content and tools according to guidance from the Hub’s digital team and the SSEA, UK, EU business. Ensure digital requirements are well represented to, and prioritised by, the Hub digital team
- Collaborate actively with SSEA Marketing Team to effectively integrate marketing and communications activity across digital and social channels
- Coach, mentor and operationally manage a junior member of the team.
- Monitor the competitor landscape and alliance partner activity.

**Skill Profile**:
To be successful for this role we are looking for an e-commerce specialist who has strong commercial background and experience in driving and formulating sales and marketing strategies, with a min 5 year experience in a related field. Ideally, you will have worked within a digital environment, having demonstrated experience to drive online revenue. Given the role connects with a variety of internal and external stakeholders we are looking for someone who is comfortable communicating, negotiating, and influencing at a variety of levels, working in a fast paced environment.
