**Job Description for Assistant Engineer HVAC and fire system**

**1. Fire Alarm System**

**Tasks**:

- Check Fire Alarm Control Panel (FACP) for faults and battery status.
- Inspect smoke and heat detectors for cleanliness and functionality.
- Test manual call points and alarm sounders.

**2. Sprinkler System**

**Tasks**:

- Inspect sprinkler heads for damage, blockage, or corrosion.
- Check fire pump and jockey pump pressure and operation.
- Ensure control valves are in the open position.

**3. HVAC System**:
**Tasks**:

- Make-Up Air Unit - Check filters, fan, airflow
- Air Handling Unit - Clean filters, check motor and coils.
- Fan Filter Unit - Check speed, airflow, HEPA.
- Fan Coil Unit - Clean filters, check drain and fan.
- Recirculation Handling Unit - Check blower, filters.
- DX Unit - Check compressor, refrigerant, coils.
- CRAC Unit - Check cooling, sensors, alarms.
- Hot Water Boiler - Check flame, pressure, water level.

**4. Scrubber Operations**

**Tasks**:

- Operate and inspect Acid and Caustic Scrubbers.
- Monitor pH, water level, and chemical levels.
- Ensure VOC abatement systems run continuously and efficiently.

**5. Cooling Towers, Chillers & Boilers**

**Tasks**:

- Check water flow, temperature, and chemical levels.
- Perform filter cleaning and coil checks.
- Troubleshoot and fix chiller or boiler alarms.

**6. Process Vacuum Pumps & PCW System**

**Tasks**:

- Check vacuum pressure and pump noise.
- Monitor PCW pumps, flow, and temperature.
- Record parameters in the daily log sheet.

**7. Water Treatment Plant Control**

**Tasks**:

- Maintain water treatment records and dosing levels.
- Conduct regular water sampling and lab testing.

**8. Exhaust Fans - Acid, Caustic, Solvent**

**Tasks**:

- Inspect fan motor, belts, and filters.
- Ensure proper airflow and no blockages

**9. Air Emission Control Systems**

**Tasks**:

- Operate and monitor Solvent Abatement VOC units, Wet Scrubbers, and Boiler Flue Gas Control.
- Check for abnormal sounds, odors, and alarms.
- Log all parameters daily (temperature, pressure, flowrate).

**10. Chemical Dosing for Chilled Water**

**Tasks**:

- Dose anti-corrosion chemicals to control copper and avoid leaks.
- Monitor chemical concentration.

**11. Hot Water Boiler Maintenance**

**Tasks**:

- Check flame status, pressure, and water level.
- Perform preventive checks (valves, igniters, safety devices).

**12. Cleanroom Monitoring**

**Tasks**:

- Monitor cleanroom temperature and RH levels.
- Log readings and adjust HVAC if needed.

**13. Support to Facility Engineers**

**Tasks**:

- Assist in system troubleshooting, repairs, and daily upkeep.
- Respond to emergency calls and alerts.

**14. Infrastructure Projects Experience**

**Tasks**:

- Support project execution, utility setup, commissioning.
- Coordinate with contractors and ensure safe work practices.

**15. SOP/PTP & Safety Compliance**

**Tasks**:

- Review and follow SOPs and PTPs before starting work.
- Wear appropriate PPE.
- Conduct safety toolbox talks regularly.

**16. Audit & Documentation**

**Tasks**:

- Maintain updated risk assessments, checklists, and logs.
- Support internal/external audits with documented procedures.
