As a 3D Modeler and Animator, you will be responsible for creating original quality 3D assets to be used in our various games. Primarily working on unreal engine for fortnite (“ _**_UEFN _**_”), you will also have a hand in shaping and building out the game environments for our games, and from time to time, are also expected to assist in SFX/Particle Effects. You will work with a team of game designers and developers, and your keen eye and dedication to the craft to create amazing 3D models will be instrumental in your success at Avium.- This is a _**_Junior _**_level position.**Responsibilities**:

- Create quality 3D assets, animation and special effects on industry-standard software, and import them into UEFN, Epic’s software programme for creating games on the Fortnite platform
- With guidance from the game designer, build out basic game environments using UEFN, and after which, to import and place 3D assets according to the game design.
- Collaborate with a team of Fortnite creators, and game designers, to develop top games on Fortnite’s creative platform
- Contribute to Avium’s library of 3D assets
- Contribute to the art direction for game environments and 3D assets
- Working in Jira for project coordination
- Collaborating with other team members in the organization

**Skills/Requirements**:

- A passion and excitement to be in the games industry
- Deep experience in industry-standard 3D and animation software such as Maya, Blender, Zbrush and texture/material authoring tools such as Photoshop and Substance.
- Attention to detail for both aesthetic and technical quality
- Experience in integrating 3D assets into game engines. Fortnite (UEFN) and Roblox experience is a desired plus.
- Able to learn and adapt to new game engine platforms for 3D modelling, animation and environment creation purposes.
- Keen to build experience in the UEFN/Fortnite ecosystem.
- Ownership mentality

**BONUS if you have**:

- History of developing in the Unreal Engine/Fortnite experience
- Understand player behavior and trends, and how to build enticing game loops
