The Maître d' is responsible for making sure everything runs smoothly in the front of the house
- Liaison between the front-of-house staff and kitchen staff on customer issues
- Manages all front-of-house staff on daily operations
- Recommending food and wine-pairings to customers
- Ensure wine is served and stored at the right temperatures
- Train service staff on wine list
- Work with Guest Relations Executive to receive and coordinate all reservations and special requests
- Responsible for ensuring and maintaining a pleasant and enjoyable experience for all guests
- Receiving and acting on all feedback from guests
- Responsible for managing and organising daily restaurant operations
- Interview, Train and Supervise all restaurant service employees
- To plan and allocate manpower and other resources effectively to optimize use
- Work with Senior F&B Manager on Budgets and Cost Control
- Ensure adherence to and enforce employee compliance with NEA requirement
- To consistently assess the work performance of all service staff to recommend for monthly variable performance pay, confirmation, promotion and/or annual appraisal, etc.
- To develop subordinates appropriately by identifying and taking action on training needs
- To motivate, boost morale, provide counselling, resolve conflicts, handle grievance, and discipline as and when deemed fit
**The Requirements**
- Min 3-5 years of experience in a Fine Dining Restaurant in a Managerial capacity
- Extensive knowledge of wines and wine-pairing
**Salary**: $2,000.00 - $4,000.00 per month
