RIMOWA is looking for a Merchandising Manager to support RIMOWA’s retail growth acceleration in Asia Pacific.
The Merchandising Manager will be the voice of the Asia Pacific region for all product related topics. In particular he/she will be responsible for driving and following-up the product performance for APAC, ensuring an optimal sales and stock situation by partnering with local Supply-chain to optimize inventory and product delivery for seasonal products, and as such deliver efficient sales performance and sell-through. He/she will define sales potential for seasonal products and lead the regional coordination for all new product launches.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
Drive product performance for the Asia Pacific market:
- Monitor sales and sell-through situation, create relative sales reports and analysis
- Initiate appropriate business strategies to liquidate stock in order to achieve sales target
- Work closely with Demand Planning and Supply Chain team on managing inventory, delivery, and re-orders to ensure a healthy and appropriate mix and stock level locally.
Define sales potential for seasonal products.
- Understand and share the company’s product strategy locally, translate it into local action-plans:
- Act as a key stakeholder in bridging between Headquarter Merchandising and regional retail teams. Update them on merchandising & product plans, share priorities and drive results.
- Lead regional 360 alignment with retail, VM, training, CRM & Marketing to ensure successful product launches and performance
- Close collaboration with Training team for seasonal product training, market intelligence and fashion trend information to front-line staffs
Be the voice of the region towards HQ Merchandising:
- Explain the product performance both quantitatively & qualitatively
- Express local market needs
- Conduct extensive market research and analysis
**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Strong sense for products, luxury/fashion savvy
- Minimum 7-10 years’ experience in merchandising or merchandising planning with regional exposures
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Entrepreneur spirit, resourceful & hard-working
