- Assist the technical director in the following areas:

- Manage, oversee and coordinate the different technical functional roles to ensure that:

- routine operations run smoothly
- services rendered are timely and in line with objectives
- Resources are used optimally
- procedural and governance guidelines/requirements are adhered to
- Work with the Business Development team to fulfil users' requirements.
- Plan for and implement enhancements to offerings and operations, including system upgrades and expansion of service offerings
- Long term strategic planning for major upgrades or enhancements
- Advice on technical matters related to supercomputing or peripheral issues

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Degree in computer science or a relevant scientific discipline. A post-graduate degree in computer science or a relevant scientific discipline is highly desirable.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a similar environment if the applicant has a relevant post-graduate qualification or a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in a similar environment.
- Sound working knowledge of supercomputer operations and paradigms which may include, but are not limited to:

- Parallel programming (MPI, OpenMP, etc.)
- Job scheduling
- Systems/storage architecture
- GPU for HPC/ML
- Containers
- Machine learning frameworks
- HPC software build tools including compilers, mathematical libraries, etc.
- Competent in or familiar with periphery IT issues which may include, but are not limited to:

- cloud computing and other web technologies
- networking
- cyber-security
