The Investment Accounting Lead will be responsible forleading the accounting stream which is a major transformation program. The program is a multi-year program with a team of more than 20 people split across multiple streams like Trade Booking, Collateral & Settlements, Accounting & Tax, Data Lake Reporting.

The transformation program is implemented using Calypso platform and the objective of the program is to implement the STAT/GAAP accounting practices and perform the configurations on the Calypso platform

This role will require an individual who has proven expertise in derivatives accounting and reporting, experience in leading the team, implementing the calypso implementation, working with external teams, working with business stakeholders, conducting user acceptance testing for system changes, and implementing best practices in delivering high quality products that meet company/industry standards, strong communication skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. STAT, GAAP and Tax knowledge preferred with exposure to working closely with the business to capture requirements and ensure adherence to industry standards wherever appropriate.

**responsibilities**:

- Configure derivative instruments in investment accounting and reporting (includes creating/updating processes and procedures, providing input to demand management, and developing appropriate testing metrics with the QA team and business).
- Manage day-to-day activities for investments accounting and reporting output (includes participating in team meetings, support overall timelines, understanding project/testing dependencies, etc.
- Participate and present in stakeholder and management calls to provide status updates
- Partner with the Accounting and Tax business partners toidentify the scope of the testing required for investment accounting, tax and reporting

**skills**:

- Experience in the financial services industry and derivativesis required.
- 6+ years of derivative accounting experience
- Experience with Calypso, Murex or another subledger system
- Prior exposure to investment accounting, subsidiary ledger processing and related investment matters a plus
- Experience with internal controls.
- Knowledge of STAT and GAAP accounting
- Ability to partner with other disciplines to ensure alignment on deliverables.
- Understanding of Software Delivery Lifecycle
- Must have strong analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Demonstrate a high level of initiative and be a self-starter, solution seeker.
- Must be extremely resourceful and enthusiastic.
- Display a capacity to learn quickly and respond well to changes and opportunities
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills
- Possess strong ability in dealing with ambiguity
- Authorize to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future

**education**:

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
