Md157-1: Business Analyst:

The Business Analyst will work with Investment Management Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and other stakeholders to formulate and define business and/or systems scope, requirements and objectives based on a good understanding of applicable industry requirements. Lead requirements definition sessions ensuring that the team articulates requirements and specifications. Drive dialogue to a detailed level to allow capture of actionable requirements. Use understanding of business objectives, technical environment, and project timeline and scope to analyze needs; capture them in documentation of business and system requirements.

**Responsibilities**:

- **Ability to facilitate business requirements sessions, including documentation and understanding of both business products & the associated Calypso functionality**:

- ** Ability to help create specs, write code, scripts and/or enable configurations, create input to cutover plan**:

- ** Ability to write, document and execute test cases and experience with end to end System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)**:

- ** Ability to translate business data requirements into systematic Calypso requirements, then configure, execute and document the solution, End to End**:

- Accountability for data requirements management planning and execution
- Gather and document functional and non-functional data requirements
- Facilitate and drive data requirements gathering sessions
- Collaborate with business and systems experts
- Lead analysis of data architecture, procedures, data and rules
- Negotiate and influence requirements direction
- Make determination of alternatives for optimizing data processes
- Identify solutions to data problems
- Create business process models, context diagrams and use case models
- Help or facilitate process improvement and/or process mapping sessions
- Adhere to formal software development processes and procedures
- Define, and update documentation tools such as business terminology stored in the master business glossary and data dictionaries

**Skills**:

- **Minimum of 4 years direct Calypso experience (Ideally V14 and above), including configuration of Static Data Filters, Reports, Workflows, SDIs, scheduled tasks, data architecture and integrations with warehousing and reporting solutions.**:

- ** Knowledge of writing code, scripts and/or enable configurations to support the data architecture and workflows (within Calypso)**:

- ** Experienced in agile, iterative project techniques including Scrum; experience with Jira is required**:

- ** Calypso BA/DEV that has experience with reporting**.
- Preference for someone with Calypso Accounting Module experience and with Accounting Migration project from any other system into calypso.
- Familiarity with tax accounting for various derivative products. Any exposure to STAT/GAAP reporting will be beneficial.
- Industry standard back-office processing knowledge followed at various Financial Institutions for derivatives processing.
- Familiarity with data model of calypso and murex an added advantage.
- Workflow and Exception Management within Calypso.
- Static Data configuration (SSI, Entities, Contacts, etc.)
- Derivatives, MM, FX and fixed income asset class knowledge along with their life cycle events.
- Calypso reporting knowledge to create extract required for downstream systems.
- Database scripting knowledge (PL/SQL)
- Familiarity with Calypso CDUF's and mapping data between systems is a must.
- Must know about the various regulatory changes and the ways it is impacting the industry.
- Experienced in Waterfall methodologies
- Demonstrated ability to partner with investment personnel to elicit and advance requirements
- Experience working with Investment-focused projects
- Seasoned individual capable of handling broad scope projects that have medium to long-term focus
- Demonstrated ability to understand how tasks and milestones collaborate and connect together across related projects.
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively using verbal and written methods
- Proficient with standard documentation tools (Visio, Excel, Word)
- Proficient with Structured Query Language (SQL) and comfortable with learning new data schemas
- The ability to self-manage, plan, and prioritize your work effectively.
- Experience with Murex a plus
