**Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for supervising and coordinating mechanical and piping works with engineering, fabrication yard and on-board vessel throughout the project phases.
- Participate in the design, development and modification of mechanical system in conventional and non-conventional vessels including offshore vessel.
- Perform mechanical calculations such as equipment sizing, pipe sizing, heat load calculation, hydraulic pressure loss calculation for piping & ventilation
- To ensure the mechanical system designs (machinery layout & piping schematics) comply with classifications rules, marine/ offshore regulations and vessel/ rig contract specification
- Prepare documentation for drawing list, equipment list, piping material estimation etc.
- Competent on marine system sizing, engine room / machinery space arrangement, system design and preparation of technical specification.
- Manage assigned mechanical/rotating equipment and assigned scope.
- Will be assist in for day-to-day mechanical refurbishment /conversion; and life extension work dealing with yard and sub-contractors.
- Will be responsible for all the interfacing and reducing the rework
- indirect cost savings.
- Assist site engineering team in Conceptual routing studies, site engineering execution planning.
- Interface with clients, project managers/Shipyard team and ensure coordination between other disciplines.
- Work closely with engineering team and coordinate with package engineer and external vendors.
- Day to day operation of Marine, Topsides, Turret mechanical and piping works.
- Solving QA/QC issue on site with contractor and various vendors.
- Personal commitment to work in compliance with IMS policy, HSE, Work ethics, Progress (with these priorities)

**Job Requirement**
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or in a related field
- Minimum 12 years’ experience in basic design and engineering of relevant to construction of Marine/ Offshore Units, FEED, mechanical system & rotating machinery design experience, preferably in FPSO industry.
- Understand the principle of the machinery equipment and onboard system.
- Exceptional technical skills and reasoning ability
- Effective problem solving and interfacing skills in managing assigned timelines.
- Good communication and analytical skills.
- Good Knowledge in MS project, AutoCAD 2D, 3D
- A strong team player in working with multiple project team members and internal functional staff.
