Fragrance Analyst

Job Title: Fragrance Analyst - Fragrance Intelligence Laboratory

Location: Ascent, Singapore

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Drives and delivers high performance and efficiency of E2E fragrance intelligence operations to deliver FF (primary focus) and CF products fragrance oils reconstitution on time as per the service level agreements, the business priorities, the global best practice, the Corporate QHSS&E rules, the good laboratory practice and using the global digital tools
- Participates in key business projects
- Builds strong partnership with all internals clients (perfumers, FDMs, Global Fragrance Intelligence Unit)
- Designs, plans and performs experiments for reverse engineer fragranced consumer branded market products
- Perform market product extractions (e.g. SPE, SPME, liquid-liquid), if needed.
- Trains other junior analyst/intern on analytical techniques
- Report data to enhance current AI and Digitization projects.
- Participates in the definition of global best practice
- Prioritizes, allocates and regulates the workload in a balanced way
- Implements global standard operating procedures - plays a leading role in implementing existing SOPs and support in developing new ones
- Defines and/or validates local standard operating procedures related to the scope of responsibility
- Delivers an effective culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement with the team change in the team culture
- Drives change locally in a very effective manner, identifies, and delivers locally key initiatives to deliver step changes in efficiency, productivity and capacity. Promotes these achievements to the fragrance intelligence and global laboratory services network
- Takes on challenging technical problems and develops creative solutions
- Proactive in working with QHSS&E colleagues to examine new processes and procedures corresponding to the development of a new research area
- Delivers the continuous improvement strategy for local E2E fragrance intelligence activities with all lean management principles to generate efficiency and increase productivity and capacity

**You bring**:

- Minimum 3 years of experience in reverse engineering of consumer and/or fine fragrance market products utilizing GC/MS, Headspace, GCO and other techniques.
- Proficient in the identification of perfumery raw materials by both analytical tools and olfactive ability.
- Proficient in SPE, SPME, liquid-liquid, steam distillation and other extraction techniques.
- Able to perform maintenance and troubleshooting of the equipment used
- Good proficiency in using, maintaining, and improving existing databases
- Able to perform data treatment with basic to advanced software tools
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in chemistry - preferably in analytical chemistry
- Strong track record in analytical chemistry with at least 3 years of documented successes in a similar role.
