Verisk is currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Singapore team as Business Development Manager in the catastrophe modelling industry. As Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for managing client relationships, driving sales, and promoting our cutting-edge catastrophe modelling solutions in the Southeast Asia Market. **Key Responsibilities**:
**Client Relationship Management**: Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients to understand their needs, provide exceptional service, and ensure client satisfaction. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and maintaining regular communication to foster long-term partnerships.
**Sales and Business Development**: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the assigned territory or market segment. Conduct market research to identify potential clients, analyse their needs, and develop customised sales strategies to promote our catastrophe modelling solutions. Utilise effective sales techniques to generate leads, conduct product presentations, and negotiate contracts to meet or exceed sales targets.
**Market and Competitive Analysis**: Stay informed about the competitive landscape in the catastrophe modelling industry, including competitor products, pricing, and market trends. Conduct regular market analysis to identify new market segments, potential partnerships, and growth opportunities. Provide feedback to the management team on market dynamics, client requirements, and areas for innovation or improvement.
**Reporting and Documentation**: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions, sales activities, and relevant information in the company's CRM system.
**Professional Development**: Stay abreast of the latest advancements in catastrophe modelling, data analytics, and industry best practices through ongoing training, workshops, and self-study. Continuously enhance your technical skills, industry knowledge, and sales expertise to deliver exceptional results and grow within the company.
**Qualifications**:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional service
- Self-motivated and results-driven with a desire to achieve sales goals
- 7+ years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in using CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and data analysis tools
- Ethical and compliant approach to sales practices
- Prior experience in sales, account management, Reinsurance Broking, Reinsurance Client Management or catastrophe modelling
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or Business (or equivalent experience)
- Proficiency in English Language
- Knowledge or other regional language is plus
