**Responsibilities**:
**Operational**
- Providing excellent Customer Service according to Company Standards.
- Creating an excellent first impression of the gym by providing a warm welcome, tidy appearance and pleasant manner always
- Always enhances guest recognition by addressing guest by name, interacting with them on a professional level and conforming to the departmental Standard Operating Procedures.
- Greet, check and verifying guest name as they come through reception area.
- Be responsible and ensuring guest sign in/out on the registration disclaimer forms before commencing any activities within the facilities and in accordance with company policy.
- Providing and handling questions/ information on classes and availability
- Ensuring that adequate stocks & brochures are available on hand.
- always Ensuring the safety and security of our guest and staff and taking a responsible attitude towards maintaining the area and its facilities.
- Serving customers, collecting cash/transaction activities, banking in and accurate accounting or transactions at the end of each shift.
- Ensure that all cashiering functions are carried out in accordance with hotel’s accounting procedures.
- Handling telephone enquiries and transferring calls
- Maintaining a clean and tidy environment, both behind and in front of the counter
- Recording and keeping clear and accurate records of all queries, complaints, lost property, and checklist and ensuring the information is delegated to, and resolved by, the relevant department
- To ensure the changing rooms and its facilities are in good, clean, and working condition always.
- Ensure amenities, towels are cleaned and top-up.
- To collect fresh washed towels/linens and sent down soiled towels/linen to the Laundry Department.
- To ensure able to perform simple operation on the Cardio and Strength equipment’s when required.
- To ensure gym area is being frequenting patrol and top-up of fruits, cold towels, wipes, and dispenser cups.
- Cashing up and banking at the end of each shift and ensuring that shifts are balanced accurately completing relevant documentation
- To Open/Close the Fitness Club, Reception before/after the set times established by Management.
- Always to be visible to guests by being present at the Reception Desk or area.
- Be fully conversant with MBS, Banyan Tree Fitness Club services and facilities in order to make valuable recommendations.
- Answer telephone calls in a professional, courteous, and polite manner in accordance with company’s standards
- Handling correspondences and ensure all enquires are attend to/with.
- Accepts responsibility for and enhance guest satisfaction.
- To report any guest comments or complaints to the Fitness Club Supervisor as soon as convenient. In the absence of the Fitness Club Supervisor, guest comments should be reported to the Fitness Club Manager
- Before opening and closing the reception centre, always make sure the vicinity is clean and tidy, including windows and any other areas which are visible to guest.
- To cooperate and participate in all social and cultural activities, including events when requested by Management.
- Undertake other duties, of a similar professional nature and commensurate with the role, at the request of the Fitness Centre Manager
**General**
- Reports for duty punctually (before 10 mins) always wearing the correct uniform and name tag.
- Maintains high standard of Personal Appearance, always Grooming and Hygiene.
- Attend Briefings, Meetings & other events as and when requested.
- Conducts inspection of the Fitness Club areas when required and as directed.
- Has a complete understanding of the company’s procedures in respect to health, hygiene, and safety.
- Reports and sends lost property to the Lost and Found office, in accordance with hotel’s procedures.
- Attends all scheduled training, even if this should fall outside of regular working hours.
- Performs any other tasks as directed by superior or management.
- Support all Fitness Club operations during operations as required and directed by superior.
- Ensure that all department reports and correspondence are completed accurately and punctual.
- Ensure registration forms are available for guest to use.
- Always save all records and registration forms inside the file folder of the Fitness Centre.
**Performance Evaluation Criteria**
- Mystery Shopper Results.
- Cleanliness and Maintenance of the Fitness Club, Reception, and its Lobby areas.
- Personal Hygiene and Grooming.
- Attend scheduled training courses
- Adheres to Marina Bay Sands, Banyan Tree Standards and Procedures.
