The Singapore Business Federation (SBF) is the apex business chamber championing the interests of the Singapore business community in the areas of trade, investment and industrial relations. It represents 27,000 companies, as well as key local and foreign business chambers.

The Director will lead the Members & TAC Engagement (MTE) team to conceptualise, develop and oversee broad-based members’ outreach and engagement activities to create better awareness of SBF and its services through events, seminars and dialogues with government agencies and other stakeholders and partners.

In line with SBF’s role as an enabler to bring the business community to work together as one, the Director will also strategise, conceptualise and roll-out strategic initiatives to uplift capabilities of Trade Associations & Chambers (TACs) and build a strong TAC community in Singapore, as well as work with TACs that are effective and valuable multipliers to drive industry transformation and initiatives.

**Responsibilities**:

- Conceptualise outreach strategies, develop engagement channels and drive new initiatives and projects to strengthen relationships with members
- Drive and oversee the execution of broad-based membership outreach events, engagement activities, seminars, and dialogues with government agencies and partner organisations. For example, ministerial dialogues, knowledge-sharing seminars, feedback sessions, etc
- Conceptualise strategies and spearhead initiatives focused on building a strong TAC community in Singapore. For example, platforms to facilitate mutual sharing of information, knowledge and experiences, shared services, and pooled resources for TACs to achieve more with limited resources.
- Lead formulation of strategies and plans to promote more active and effective engagement with TACs, for example, growing and revamping the TAC Alliance as the leading platform to provide thought leadership and drive strategic initiatives for TACs.
- Champion leadership-focused initiatives as part of capability upgrading to uplift the TAC community, for example, leadership development programmes, knowledge and thought leadership events to upgrade core capabilities of TAC leaders to build and lead TACs of the future
- Drive partnership amongst TACs and between TACs and key stakeholders, including government agencies, institutes of higher learning, professional bodies, overseas chambers.
- Conceptualise and organise TAC symposium, workshops and roundtables to enhance Singapore’s status as the leading business hub in the region and TACs’ role as enablers for the business community.

**Job Requirements**
- At least 8 years of relevant working experience in the private or public sector, especially in the areas of business operations with at least five years in a supervisory position
- Prior experience working in or with TACs with effective stakeholder engagement and management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to express complex issues simply and logically
- Strong leadership qualities with ability to provide direction and guidance to team members
- Able to lead the team to conceptualise, develop, organise, and operationalise programmes and implement innovative solutions
- Driven, resourceful and results-oriented, with multi-tasking capabilities
- Prior experience working in or with government agencies such as ESG, SSG, etc. would be an added advantage
