**What you will be working on**
- The job holder supports the Deputy Director (Asia, Middle East, Africa and PPI) to chart regional/bilateral engagement strategies and conducts strategic engagements with key counterparts from the Middle East, including Israel, Oman and Egypt to achieve operational excellence in line with MHA’s mission.
The job holder is also a Protocol Officer and will manage all incoming visits and engagements, and to staff incoming and outgoing visits to the Middle East.

**What we are looking for**
- The job holder’s key responsibilities are:

- Develop medium to long-term engagement strategies and plans for the Middle East and key country accounts in the region.
- Monitor geopolitical, safety and security developments in the Middle East and Africa that may affect or present opportunities for MHA to deepen bilateral relations and cooperation.
- Analyse existing cooperation between MHA and our counterparts from the Middle East and Africa.
- Work with Home Team Departments to identify capability building and new/emerging areas of cooperation for key country accounts.
- Coordinate and work with Home Team Departments and external agencies (i.e., MFA) to advance or safeguard Singapore/MHA’s interests.
- Plan, organise and ensure the smooth conduct of engagements, including overseas trips and bilateral meetings.
- Track and review existing cooperation under international agreements signed with countries in the Middle East.
- Cultivate relations and build networks with foreign counterparts and personalities.
