**Duties**:
Working as an Information Technology Specialist (Applications Software) in the Office of Information Systems Management, Application Systems Division, Salesforce Development Team, you will serve as the representative of the NIST Salesforce Developer team and will be responsible for operations and maintenance and continual software development of CHIPS implementations on Salesforce and MuleSoft Platform as well as existing and future NIST Salesforce solutions.

The selected individual will serve as NIST expert in program field and will perform duties to ensure quality of products and processes. Monitor system performance and provide suggestions and/or alternative approaches when applicable. Work with contractors and partners to troubleshoot issues reported by the end-users, document the solutions, and implement resolutions. Document implemented solutions, software engineering designs, source code, test plans, operations manuals, contributes to software security plans, and conducts testing. Ensure NIST Salesforce Development Team standards and IT Security directives are maintained and followed during implementation.

Collaborate with internal and external partners, contractors, and Project Managers on design, deployment, and operation and maintenance to achieve successful implementation of CHIPS program requirements and improve overall operability of the CHIPS implementation.

**Basic Requirements**:
Experience must be IT related; the experience may be demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training (for example, IT certification), as appropriate.
- For all positions individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below. - Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.
- Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
