**Senior EHS Engineer, Singapore**:

- This position is an individual contributor role that focuses on developing EHS and Management Systems programs, procedures, and processes to enhance operational controls over EHS risks in the organisation. This position will be responsible for the setup & maintenance of EHS administrative system and tool to achieve sustainable EHS system and performance. This position will take up existing roles of Workplace Safety and Health Officer and Fire Safety Manager. This position will work closely with internal stakeholders from Supply Chain, Labs, Process Management, QA/QC and offices as well as representing Symrise as the EHS professional to external agencies (NEA, MOM & SCDF) for regulatory EHS matters & compliance.**The Position**:

- Act as the official statutory role of certified Workplace Safety & Health Officer and representing the site with local authorities. Key duties as WSHO include:

- Conduct regular EHS inspection to identify hazards and safety gaps at the workplace
- Act as the deputy secretary of EHS committee for Symrise sites in Singapore
- Organize EHS promotional activities
- Prepare monthly EHS report for the Singapore sites
- Act as the official statutory role of certified Fire Safety Manager and primary point of contact with the SCDF. Key duties as FSM include:

- Coordinate the CERT and SCDF audit
- Plan and conduct emergency response drills
- Provide relevant training to keep the CERT operationally ready
- Provide operational hands on EHS support to the supply chain, engineering, QA/QC, IPI, and other internal stakeholders. Key duties include:

- Review and approve site safe work permit
- Review risk assessment for contractors work activities
- Perform pre-start-up safety reviews
- Perform EHS MOC review
- Provide first line of response to any EHS incidents or emergencies
- Performs EHS incident investigation in conjunction with the responsible area manager
- Coordinate with the internal stakeholders on various industrial hygiene programs requirements such as area & personnel industrial air monitoring, noise mapping etc
- Manage the site security team and ensure they perform to the expected standard of service
- Deliver onsite face to face EHS training when required
- Implement EHS programs as assigned
- Track EHS Compliance Calendar items
- Support Office and Lab Safety program as a technical advisor
- Propose yearly EHS budget in conjunction with Finance Department
- Degree in Environmental/Health & Safety/Chemical Engineering or related disciplines.
- Is a certified MOM WSH officer, Fire Safety Manager with at least 4-5 years of industrial EHS hands-on experience within Manufacturing dealing with chemicals or have managed distribution of Dangerous Goods.
- Managed EHS programs/ initiatives especially relating to Fire & industrial safety.
- Trained as an internal auditor in ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 with strong familiarity in the requirements of these processes.
- Experience in development & implementation of EHS program, collaborating with various key stakeholders and communicate key aspects of EHS.
- A strong team player, ability to work with mínimal supervision, proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Other relevant training including Management of Hazardous Substances, Confined Space Safety Assessor, Work at Height Manager, Lifting Supervisor etc would be an added advantage.
