**What the role is**
- The Singapore Courts - comprising the Supreme Court, State Courts and Family Justice Courts - is one of the three constitutional pillars of government in Singapore. Known collectively as SG Courts, we are integrated and coordinated to serve as one judiciary. As an organ of state, the judiciary’s function is to independently administer justice. CASE OFFICER, FAMILY JUSTICE COURTS (THERAPEUTIC JUSTICE)
**What you will be working on**
- Implementing new case flow management systems and work/ triage processes, including:
- Carrying out assigned tasks to implement existing and new case flow and work/triage processes;
- Managing the hearing roster for judges;
- Drafting and updating guidelines for processes/ workflows to ensure consistency in practice;
- Monitoring and tracking KPIs for court processes and putting up necessary reports;
- Ensuring continuous service improvements.
- Providing case management support, including the following:
- Ensuring the timely and efficient processing of filings received;
- Ensuring that cases are scheduled for hearings at the earliest opportunity and within the Court’s time charter;
- Assisting the judges in case preparation work such as case file checks, preparation of case summaries, research, and communicating with lawyers and parties in ensuring the smooth and efficient management of the case;
- Monitoring directions given by the court and taking the initiative to follow up to ensure compliance and progress of the case;
- Providing information and appropriate guidance to self-represented litigants;
- Attending to feedback received and drafting replies including taking necessary recovery steps to prevent future occurrence of service lapses.
