Our Trust & Safety team's commitment is to keep our online community safe. We have invested heavily in human and machine-based moderation to remove harmful content quickly and often before it reaches our general community.

As the Data Science on TikTok's Trust and Safety APAC team, you will be instrumental in ensuring that TikTok remains a safe, trustworthy, and risk-free environment. By implementing your domain knowledge, you will help diagnose, triage, and treat large-scale safety issues. You will scope out projects, use ground-truth data to inform strategies, and use data and insights to form best-in-class heuristics to proactively detect and disarm safety incidents. You will be leading TikTok APAC's top priority while partnering with a variety of stakeholders across the product, operations, policy, and engineering teams - both locally and globally.

It is possible that this role will be exposed to harmful content as part of the core role/as part of project/ in response to escalation requests/by chance.

**Responsibilities**:
What will I be doing?
1. Own large-scale quantitative analysis projects from start to finish, including developing metrics, creating analytical frameworks and distilling complex results into clear and concise insights;
2. Drive the strategic planning and execution of long-term business plans through in-depth business analysis, industry studies and the study of market trends;
3. Design and establish indicator systems for safety and risks of the platform, monitor and optimize risk coverage in each link, measure the performance of content safety strategies and facilitate intricate decision-making;
4. Proactively identify, detect, and mitigate risk to our community ecology, and help devise strategies to combat it;
5. Lead and collaborate with cross functional teams through communication of data supported insights.

**Qualifications**:
What should I bring with me?
1. BA/BS in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, or other related fields;
2. Experienced in adopting scientific methods to solve business problems;
3. Experienced in collaborating with cross-functional teams, communicating across effectively and efficiently;
4. Proficient in pulling large and complex data using SQL presenting it on data visualization tools;
5. Ability to synthesize and communicate complex concepts and analyses in a coherent and comprehensive way;
6. Experience in leading, managing and coaching team members.
