Vice President of Private Equity

Job Summary:
As the Vice President of Private Equity with a focus on the Southeast Asia (SEA) Technology, Media, and Telecommunications (TMT) sector, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing the investment activities within the SEA TMT landscape. Your role will involve sourcing and evaluating investment opportunities, executing transactions, managing the portfolio, and providing strategic guidance. With your deep knowledge of the SEA TMT sector and strong investment expertise, you will play a crucial role in driving the fund's success.

Key Responsibilities:

- Deal Sourcing and Evaluation:Lead the sourcing efforts to identify investment opportunities in the SEA TMT sector, including startups, growth-stage companies, and potential add-on acquisitions.
Conduct thorough due diligence, including financial analysis, market research, competitive analysis, and risk assessment.
Evaluate strategic fit, growth potential, and financial viability of target companies.
- Investment Execution:Oversee the end-to-end investment process, including deal structuring, negotiations, and documentation.
Collaborate with the investment team and external advisors to ensure successful execution of investment transactions.
Review and provide guidance on investment memos, financial models, and presentations for investment committee review.
- Portfolio Management:Manage and provide strategic guidance to the existing portfolio of investments within the SEA TMT sector.
Work closely with portfolio company management teams to drive value creation initiatives and monitor performance.
Conduct performance analysis, financial modeling, and scenario planning to optimize investment returns.
- Industry Research and Insights:Stay abreast of the latest trends, developments, and emerging technologies within the SEA TMT sector.
Conduct in-depth market research, competitor analysis, and industry mapping to identify investment opportunities and potential risks.
Provide strategic insights and recommendations to support investment decision-making and portfolio management.
- Relationship Building:Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including entrepreneurs, industry experts, and potential co-investors.
Collaborate with investment partners, investment banks, and other relevant parties to source deal flow and stay informed about market trends.

Qualifications and Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field. MBA or CFA designation is highly desirable.
- Extensive experience (8+ years) in private equity, venture capital, investment banking, or a related field, with a focus on the SEA TMT sector.
- Deep understanding of the SEA TMT sector, including technology, media, and telecommunications industries, with a strong network and market knowledge.
- Proven track record of successfully sourcing, evaluating, and executing investment transactions within the TMT sector in Southeast Asia.
- Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills, with the ability to assess investment opportunities and financial performance.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to guide and mentor team members.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to identify value creation opportunities and drive portfolio company growth.
- Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to engage with entrepreneurs, industry leaders, and co-investors.
- Fluent in English, with proficiency in additional languages relevant to the SEA region as a plus.
- Flexibility for occasional travel within the SEA region as required.
