**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
To manage and coordinate procurement activities to ensure timely acquisition of goods and services at competitive prices, in compliance with company policies and quality standards.
**Support supervisor in the following activities**:
- Coordinate and manage procurement of terminal-related services (e.g., stevedoring, terminal handling, depot services, storage) at global or regional ports.
- Support the preparation, review, and execution of Terminal Service Agreements (TSAs), depot contracts, and service-level agreements.
- Analyze terminal tariff changes and assess their cost impact on operations; propose cost recovery measures where applicable.
- Update and maintain terminal and depot tariffs in the shipping system (e.g., Allegro), ensuring data accuracy and timely implementation.
- Support in preparing the monthly rebate tracking, volume monitoring, and management reports for internal review.
- Monitor vendor performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and service levels.
- Collaborate with trade, operations, legal and finance teams to align procurement strategies with operational needs and cost targets.
- Maintain proper records of vendor contracts, tariffs schedules, and agreements for reference and compliance purposes.
- Participate in vendor tendering, benchmarking exercises, and contract renewals.
- Ensure adherence to internal procurement policies, SOPs, and audit requirements.
- Assist in resolving billing discrepancies and conducting cost and volume impact analysis related to terminal and depot services.
- Perform other duties and ad hoc tasks as assigned.
**ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE**
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and quality of work; strategic minded with strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; capable of preparing cost comparisons, impact assessments, and management reports.
- Good negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate across departments and external vendors.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Possesses strong analytical skills, is meticulous, and upholds a high level of integrity.
- Effectively bilingual in English and Mandarin, as the role requires frequent communication with both English
- and Chinese-speaking stakeholders (verbal and written).
- Possesses a valid right to work in Singapore.
