The creative process of drawing, making music or performing dance movement allows the client to express the unspeakable, to experience release and relief, to find new resources, gain self-confidence and feel empowered to move on towards a more hopeful and happier life. At The Red Pencil (Singapore), we are dedicated to the resilience and sustainable recovery of the most vulnerable from all walks of life, to allow them to grow and become healthy and happy human beings for the world of tomorrow.

About the role

The role of this position is to expand partnerships, support the fundraising initiatives, and to maximise fundraised income for The Red Pencil (Singapore). This comes from a range of income streams including grants, corporate partnerships, major donors and the general public.

**Responsibilities**:

- Design and implement an annual strategy, integrating the whole range of fundraising possibilities
- Build and manage personal and sustainable relationships with donors, including making cold calls to potential donors and building relationships with them
- Undertake research on prospective corporate, major, trust and public donors
- Develop new fundraising collaborations, events and products.
- Update donors on how their money is being spent and write case studies on the impact of the organisation’s work
- Develop and implement a Customer Relationship System (CRM) and maintain donors’ database.
- Analyse fundraising progress on a monthly or periodic basis

Key skills
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and negotiation skills
- Good numerical skills to track budget and reach financial targets
- Strong organising abilitiesto work towards deadlines, handle multiple donor accounts simultaneously and keep a record of donations

Person Specification & Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years’ fundraising experience in Singapore preferably in the non-for-profit or association sector; Experience in fundraising is highly desirable, while experience in sales can be an effective substitute.
- Have a track record of developing significant income and have a large network
- Degree from an accredited institution
- Those who require work permit need not apply.
