**We will count on you to**:
- Build and maintain effective and sustainable relationships with executive management at strategic carriers.
- Identify and understand carriers’ appetites and needs, and work with Marsh colleagues to match these with Marsh capabilities.
- Understand strategic carriers’ business objectives and lead the development of custom solutions to address the carriers’ needs. Effectively present ideas to the carriers as required.
- Ensure that strategic and tactical plans are developed in conjunction with strategic carriers. Ensure carrier activity scorecards are in place and actively monitored to compare performance against plan.
- Negotiate and implement local ICA’s in Asia. Ensure proper governance and fee structures are implemented per country.
- Utilize all data available to improve analytical capabilities and to create more effective distribution strategies with strategic carriers.
- Work to bring new opportunities and creative solutions to carriers that improves their business performance with Marsh.
- Lead and manage the setting and achievement of the annual revenue budget and objectives, business pipeline and client development strategy, planning and process with the regional local ICG teams and agree all targets and objectives with the country teams.
- Develop and maintain the staffing and resourcing plans for the region.
- Actively engage with local Operating Companies/Lines of Business to ensure their strategies/priorities are understood and accurately represented to strategic carriers.
- Work with country offices in the region to ensure comprehensive of the performance and reporting requirements under the organization’s ICAs. Work with regional and local colleagues to improve effectiveness and early detection and solution of problem areas.
- Provide detailed feedback and input to the International ICG team on local carrier performance for global governance meetings and develop carrier briefing reports specific to the Region as required.
**What you need to have**:
- Insurance industry experience with a broker or carrier consistent with the level and requirements of the role
- Deep knowledge of the Asia insurance sector and understanding of all major classes of business within.
- Strong relationship management skillset.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a book of business and lead a team.
- Excellent communication and engagement skills, comfortable dealing with stakeholders to CEO level.
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills and experience related to the use of data to manage and improve performance.
- Ability to demonstrate sound judgment in the prioritization of competing work assignments, escalation of issues and the formulation of solutions.
- Effective organization skills with key attention to detail and delivery of high-quality documentation with the ability to implement and influence change.
- Strong sense of business ethics and principles.
- Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and changing priorities.
- High level of professionalism, integrity and trust.
- Excellent English language skills, both verbal and written with the ability to communicate technical matters to a non-technical audience.
- Undergraduate level qualifications preferred
