NTU College of Science (CoS) comprises four internationally recognized Science schools for their high academic standards, world-class research, and contributions to scientific knowledge.

The Research Administration Team at Associate Dean (Research)’s Office of CoS serves as a primary point of contact for faculty members requiring administrative assistance and advice throughout the life cycle of grant management and research administration. The team also provides oversight in research grants management and compliance to ensure effective stewardship of research grant monies managed by CoS and her schools. The role of the Assistant Director is to lead the Research Administration Team in these critical functions of that includes, but is not limited to the following:
Grant Management and Research Administration- Oversee management and operations relating to research grants administration,- Execute plans and strategies to enable CoS faculty capitalize on the national funding landscapes to drive research activities.- Foster collaboration between CoS faculty members and Research Support Office (RSO) by maintaining effective communication channels and ensuring adherence to funding guidelines.- Provide guidance and support to CoS faculty members on funding guidelines for internal and external grant proposal submissions.- Maintain accurate and up-to-date grant records to ensure proper tracking and reporting of grant funding etc.

Research Data Governance- Develop and implement policies, standards, and procedures for data collection, storage, access, and sharing in alignment with the NTU Data Governance Plan Framework- Clearly define data ownership roles and responsibilities across all relevant stakeholders to ensure accountability and proper management of data assets.- Monitor and enforce compliance with regulatory and organizational data governance requirements, ensuring all processes adhere to relevant laws, guidelines, and best practices.

Research Agreement Support- Lead negotiations with internal and external stakeholders to define and agree on the scope, responsibilities, timelines, funding, IP rights, publications, confidentiality, and dispute resolution mechanisms of research projects.- Ensure that research projects comply with applicable regulations like export control, policies, and ethical standards, and that any necessary approvals are obtained before starting the research.- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of research agreements and related documentation and ensure that all parties involved are aware of their obligations and responsibilities under the agreements.

Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.- Familiarity in Singapore’s research funding landscape and research administration not limiting to grant and contract administration, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.- Experience in tertiary level school administration (> 8 years) is required.- Experience working as People Manager, developing and leading a diverse team for at least 5 years.- Excellent oral and written communication skills.- Excellent organization and time management skills.- Resourceful and independent Team player.
