Job Description**
What a Consultant, VBS Implementation does at Visa**:
This position serves as Visa Project Manager for implementation services provided to Client (Financial Institutions) who have signed up for Visa Business Solutions suite of products. This is an individual contributor responsible for managing projects and taking a broad perspective to identify innovation solutions to meet Client needs. This role serves to gather and document Visa Business Solutions project requirements while providing client consultative guidance and training on VBS product features and functionality:

- Provide project management support to Visa client institutions and processors in assigned region to ensure customer expectations are exceeded.
- Prepare and maintain detailed project plans, status reports, and issues logs.
- Coordinate directly with customers to understand VBS product set up requirements and facilitate VBS product installations, conversions and maintenance requests without customer impact.
- Report customer project accomplishments and deliverables to management on weekly or monthly basis.
- Build and enhance positive working relationships with key Visa client institutions, technology providers and internal stakeholders.
- Represent customer change requests, system or operational requirements; negotiate and manage expectations internally and externally.
- Responsible for own workflow assignments and must be able to take the initiative to resolve problems and meet deadlines.
- Coordinate internal resources to ensure delivery on commitments.
- Stay current with industry and client trends and maintain a strong knowledge of Visa products and services.

If required, this role escalates projects that are in jeopardy and works with line management within Visa and the Client organization to make decisions that bring needed resources to resolve any issues.
**Projects you will be a part of**:
This role manages the efforts of Visa technical and business resources, leads project discussions with Visa Client (Financial Institutions) to achieve a timely and error free implementation of new Visa products and services and/or add-on of Visa programs.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Technology or equivalent
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in product/project management or product development in the payments industry/Technology industry
- Functional Project management experience in a client facing role
- Understanding of digital payments and web-based technology including HTML, web
- based service APIs, JSON, XML
- Superior interpersonal skills and proven abilities in negotiating with and influencing customers and staff at all levels.
- Ability to articulate complex technical and business issues and solutions to multiple levels internally and externally to support strategic organizational plans.
- Strong internal team and external client stakeholder management with a collaborative, diplomatic, and flexible style; able to work effectively in a matrixed organization
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail and interpersonal skills in negotiating and influencing internal and external stakeholders
- Responsible for own workflow assignments and must be able to take the initiative to resolve problems and meet deadlines.
- Expert knowledge of standard MS Office tools (e.g. MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, etc.)

What will also help:

- Previous experience in roles such Software Development, Technical Support or Presales is a plus.
- Knowledge of Expense Management Solutions like SAP Concur, Oracle iExpense is strongly desired.
