Senior Toolmaker

**Job Title**: Tool & Die Maker (Progressive & 3D Stamping Tools)

**Job Summary**

**Key Responsibilities**

**Tool Fabrication & Assembly**
- Manufacture and assemble complex progressive and 3D stamping tools using precision machining and hand-fitting techniques.
- Ensure dies meet all design and functional requirements, including part form accuracy, surface finish, and dimensional tolerances.

**Tool Maintenance**
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on stamping dies.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and restore tools to optimal functionality to minimize production downtime.

**Tool Design Collaboration**
- Partner with Tool & Die Design and Production Engineering teams throughout the tool development process.
- Provide feedback to enhance tool manufacturability, maintainability, and longevity.

**Trial & Tuning**
- Conduct tool try-outs, tuning, and adjustments to achieve first-pass yield and ensure part quality.
- Optimize press parameters for new and existing tools.

**Quality & Documentation**
- Verify tools against technical drawings, 3D CAD models, and inspection results.
- Maintain accurate records of tool history, maintenance logs, and repair activities.

**Continuous Improvement**
- Identify and propose improvements to enhance tooling performance, process stability, and cycle times.
- Support initiatives to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.

**Requirements**:

- Technical Certificate or Diploma in **Tool & Die Making**, **Precision Engineering**, or equivalent.
- Minimum**5 years of hands-on experience** in tool making, with a strong focus on progressive, compound, and 3D stamping tools.
- Proven experience with **progressive stamping tools** and **tight tolerance part fabrication**.
- Ability to read and interpret **3D CAD drawings** and **2D tool design prints**.
- Experience working with challenging materials such as **stainless steel** and **copper alloys**.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or in a team setting.

Pay: $2,500.00 - $3,500.00 per month

- Local Polytechnic Diploma (required)

**Experience**:
